"I've had this idea for a while now, but it really started to take shape a few years back, when I was out of work. I wanted to craft an album of songs that dealt with addiction, and I had a few tunes, like 'I've Got Nothing' and 'Old Demon' in that vein. Then I lost my job, and I was home for a few months. I got sucked into my own stillness, and spent so much time on the computer that I started to lose track of reality. I felt zoned out at a times. It started to dawn on me that the computer was the new drug, & I was strung out. Suddenly, I had an album."
