EXHAUST is Frank Schiazza's latest effort: an 11-song set of simple, sturdy roots-rock.
"I've been worked to the bone recently, by some of the people closest to me, and I guess I've felt used," he said.
"Exhaust is a response to all that; sort of a "fuck you" sentiment that, sonically, could only be matched by simple, 'fuck you' music."
The album is more than that, however; it is Schiazza's most complete album to date, emcompassing all the musical styles with which he's experimented over the years.
"This album is easily the most 'me' of all the albums I've released," he said. "There's some garage rock and some country and some blues and some folk and some funk.
In terms of me putting everything I do together into one body of work that doesn't sound like a formulaic exercise, this album is it."
